Transduction du signal – Chimiotactisme bactérien – Régulation et biogenèse des biofilms bactériens – Shewanella.
Mes thématiques de recherche sont focalisées sur la capacité des bactéries à s’adapter à leur environnement. L’un de mes axes de recherche porte sur l’étude du comportement chimiotactique de la bactérie aquatique modèle, Shewanella oneidensis. Je m’intéresse plus particulièrement à l’identification et à la caractérisation des chimiorécepteurs impliqués dans la détection des signaux. Mon deuxième axe de recherche concerne les mécanismes contrôlant la formation du biofilm flottant (pellicule) que S. oneidensis forme à l’interface air-liquide. J’étudie en particulier l’implication du système chimiotactique et des diguanylate cyclases dans ce processus.

My research topics are focused on the ability of bacteria to adapt to their environment. One of my research areas concerns the study of the chemotactic behavior of the model aquatic bacterium, Shewanella oneidensis. I am particularly interested in the identification and characterization of the chemoreceptors involved in signal detection. My second line of research concerns the mechanisms controlling the formation of the floating biofilm (pellicle) that S. oneidensis forms at the air-liquid interface. I am studying in particular the involvement of the chemotactic system and of the diguanylate cyclases in this process.
